Bosch has issues a notice to all owners of Bosch gas cooking appliances from the production period [2006-2011].
A limited number of gas cooking appliances from the production period [2006-2011] are affected.
The reason is potential damage to further installed gas connectors. In particular circumstances, gas can escape and in extremely rare cases there might be a risk of explosion.
Bosch is offering the free replacement of the gas connector by a certified service technician to every owner of an affected gas cooking appliance.
The replacement is carried out at the owner’s home and resolves the issue completely.
In South Africa the following named gas cooking appliances from the production period are affected: August 2006 - October 2011 : Bosch - FS Gas Cooker - 08/2006-10/2011
In certain circumstances, gas can escape in an uncontrolled manner and in extremely rare cases a risk of gas explosion can arise. The reason is potential damage to installed gas connectors.
To avoid any potential hazard, owners of an affected gas appliance should turn off the gas supply to the appliance immediately and not use it until the gas connection fitting has been replaced.
BSH calls on all customers of the listed gas cooking appliances to check whether their appliance is affected by this gas safety campaign.
The repair must be done by one of their authorized gas service technicians.
BSH is offering every owner of an affected appliance the free replacement of the gas connector by a certified service engineer at the owner’s home.
